The National Grange, along with Sammamish Valley Grange #286, unequivocally opposes racism. The voices of Grange members across our country join those who cry out in sorrow for the lives lost to racist actions, for the divisions racism has cleaved between us and for the inequality that racism has spawned across our beloved nation. Sammamish Valley Grange #286 supports local agriculture and the dedicated efforts to preserve the rural character of the Valley. The Grange, historically and currently, is a major resource of information for farmers, gardeners, and the general public who want to learn and share cultural techniques over a wide range for topics: growing, harvesting and preserving food; soil development; seed-saving; and, water and natural resource conservation. Grange members host monthly Community Education Programs and other activities and events throughout the year.
